About Us

Mr. Frank Brady, FRCSI, FDSRCS, FFD, FFSEM

Frank Brady is the Co-Founder and the Head of Lowell Medical. He has over 30 years clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Ireland, UK and America. He is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Associate Professor at UCLA, California, USA, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in both Ireland and England and also former Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Frank’s main surgical specialty and interest is in the area of Corrective Jaw Surgery, also known as Orthognathic Surgery. He is as passionate today as he was when he first qualified!

Frank is qualified in both dentistry and medicine from UCD (NUI) and continued his training in facial surgery and dentistry in Ireland, the United Kingdom and America. On his return from California, where he was an Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial at UCLA, Los Angeles, California, he was instrumental in setting up the first National Maxillofacial Unit in Ireland, initially based at Dr. Steevens’ Hospital before moving to its current location at St. James’ Hospital Dublin. Frank was head of the Oral & Maxillofacial Unit for over 25 years. Becoming Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland was an enormous achievement and greatly recognised and respected among his peers and colleagues.

Due to the nature of Maxillofacial Surgery Frank manages each individual case in close collaboration with an orthodontic specialist colleague. Frank, over the past 25 years, has received referrals from all over the country and continues to do so today.

Placing paramount importance on the initial consultation Frank feels strongly that this should be carried out in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and this can certainly be found at Lowell Medical. Frank communicates clearly, using easy to understand non-medical language, which he has found his patients greatly appreciate. This unique approach allows his patients to make their own informed decision before progressing with any treatment.
